Good practice guidelines for working with tangata whenua and Māori organisations: Harmsworth 2005

This article provides guidelines on building positive relationships across cultures in resource management situations.

This article recommends that positive relationships can best be achieved through meaningful dialogue and collaboration between parties. Māori bring to the table a unique set of skills and expertise based on over 1000 years of knowledge, and offer an important perspective in resource management decisions.  Maori are, therefore, an integral part of any collaborative effort to achieve sustainable environmental management.
